Clergy Day Date: April 22, 2008 Time: 9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. Location: First United Methodist Church Northville Fee: $60.00
“Living into your call: Finding life after ordination” The Rev. Dr. Jaco Hamman · Associate Professor of Pastoral Care, Western Theological Seminary, Holland, Michigan. · Fellow, American Association of Pastoral Counselors. Pastors (and their families) often feel they have lost the power to live authentic lives. Many pastors experience busy lives but rarely feel alive. This day with Dr. Hamman seeks to empower pastors to sustain their ministries. Dr. Hamman argues that pastors live into their call by nurturing 6 core capacities. Pastors are always in a process of growing and learning. Dr. Hamman will also speak about the dynamics working against the 6 core capacities. He will spend the day helping attendees do the necessary sorting and searching to focus on the capacities to grow into the pastors that God has called them to be. You will go away with: • Knowledge of the 6 capacities Dr. Hamman has identified • Strategies to help empower you toward living into them
Registration is $60 if received by April 18. Registration after that is $70 Refund of fees can be done up until April 15. (An administrative charge of $15 will be assessed.)
